What People are Saying About MusiCare with Mark

Of all the people I’ve ever known in my 70 years on this earth, Mark is one of my absolute favorites! I have known Mark for over 15 years, working with him at hospice part of those years. Mark is kind, thoughtful, emotionally intelligent and just plain ole ‘gets it.’ I have a CD of his music in my car and listen to it sometimes just to brighten my day. I’ve enjoyed Mark’s music in person in the homes of patients, nursing homes, funerals and plays!! I’m already thinking about what friends I can send him to!!Mark is the absolute BEST!!

I have known Mark for almost eight years, and during that time, I have had the privilege of seeing the incredible impact he makes both professionally and personally. I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about him.
Through our work, I have watched Mark walk into a room on some of the darkest days of a patient’s life and completely change the atmosphere. His kindness, compassion, music, and genuine ability to connect with people are remarkable. Patients are constantly asking, “Where is Mark?” or “Where is the guy who plays the guitar and sings?” Everyone knows Mark as the guy with the guitar—the one who brings joy, comfort, laughter, and light when it is needed most. His visits are not simply appreciated; they are genuinely looked forward to.
In 2024, I had the opportunity to experience Mark’s incredible gift on a deeply personal level when I lost my father following a terminal illness. Mark was part of my father’s funeral, and I will never be able to fully express what that meant to me and my family. On one of the hardest days of my life, his music and presence brought comfort, beauty, and meaning to a day that I will never forget.
Mark has an extraordinary gift for meeting people exactly where they are and bringing light into moments that can feel unbearably dark. What he does goes far beyond simply playing music. He creates memories, provides comfort, lifts spirits, and leaves a lasting impression on the people and families fortunate enough to know him.
Thank you, Mark, for being such an incredible bright light in this world. The difference you make in the lives of patients, families, friends, and coworkers is immeasurable. We are incredibly fortunate to have you, and I could not recommend or praise you more highly!

Mark has been a great friend for several years. Being a chaplain with Hospice he has made the day of several patients while I worked with him. What a blessing to raise the spirits of patients who are in end of life care . Mark visited with my Mom even before she was a hospice patient because I asked him to as a friend. My Mom loved every minute of his visits. I am so grateful for that.

I have known Mark Brown for over 12 years. He came into my life when he heard about two death’s in my family almost back to back which were devastating. He is one of the kindest, most trustworthy persons I have had the privilege to call a friend. For anyone feeling alone or lonely, Mark Brown has a wonderful service where he will come directly to your home just to visit and sing with you. If you need some company and a reason to smile, please reach out to Mark!

Mark Brown is a wonderful human being with the biggest heart and compassion for people and their families. We met Mark through Hospice Care as he would come to visit my mother, who had Alzheimers Disease, and myself, as I cared for her. He would bring his guitar and always go and sit in the room with my mother and play and sing right beside her bed. Throughout the disease most of the time all she would do was hum or try to sing, so when Mark would come you could tell it brightened her whole day. My daughter and granddaughter would be there visiting sometimes and we would all sing with him. It was a beautiful experience and one we will never forget. Music is a wonderful tool for someone's journey no matter where they are in it. We highly recommend Mark to anyone not just for his music but for his kindness, compassion, and loving nature as well, it will be a blessing to you and your loved ones.
